My Story

I am the proud mama of a beautiful little girl, but like most of us, I had no idea what to expect and what to do when I brought my daughter home. I had gone to all the antenatal classes and even watched a few extra online, but nothing prepares you for having to care for a defenceless little newborn. Poor little naive me honestly thought babies just slept when they were tired. Well, my daughter very quickly showed me that was not the case at all.

Three months in and my daughter would only settle for me (not with my husband) which made me very sleep deprived because some nights she would wake every 30-60min. So with the bit of time I had, I started reading and researching sleep and everything else regarding babies. Any sort of information I could get my hands on that would help me I would absorb it and I haven't stopped!

A few weeks in and I had a completely different baby. A baby that would sleep 3-5 hours stretches overnight, and all that changed without sleep (training) coaching (because she was still too young). Once she was developmentally ready (at 4 months) it took her very little time and very few tears to learn as we had been working on laying down healthy sleep habits for almost a month at that stage.

Those tough months and going through the process of teaching her to sleep independently sparked something in me and from then on I knew exactly what I wanted to do, become a certified sleep consultant to help other tired mommas struggling out there.

In addition to studying baby sleep, I have also done a course on introducing solids and picky eaters, which has helped me look at a child's day more holistically, since food can impact us so much.

I believe each baby's needs are individual to their own little person and my sleep plans reflect that. My methods are gentle and you will never be pushed into leaving your baby to cry alone. We use methods like Habit Stacking, where parents slowly change habits over the course of a few weeks, and Stay and Support (Gradual Withdrawal) where parents stay in the room and over the course of a few weeks move towards the door before leaving.

My plans will fit into what your family needs and not the other way around. I am here to help guide you through this period and to hold your hand while you and baby go through these changes.

During our time together you will get to know me and I will get to know your family. I have developed a range of services that will make it easier and affordable for you to keep track of your baby's schedule and if in the future you need some help getting back on track it won't cost you the same initial fee. Because let's be honest, life happens, we go on holidays, kids get sick and sometimes we just need a little support to help get back to smooth sailing.

Happy Baby
